GUESTBOOK HAS BEEN
REMOVED!!!
After a little over 3 years with a Guestbook
available for good-wishes, cheers and
acknowledgments, I regret that it has now been
removed. This is due to the amount of time required
to monitor postings for appropriateness here
lately. Some individuals have tried to turn our
Guestbook into a forum and continue to use it for
whining, complaining, club bashing, etc. After
trying numerous times to get people to abide by the
posted rules and getting ignored, it's time to shut
it down permanently. Thanks to all who used it
within the stated guidelines! Sorry to punish the
many for the few.

RECREATION STATE CUP
• HIGHLIGHTS
Congratulations to the U14 girls DSC Lady Seahawks
for coming home with Gold at the NCYSA Rec State
Cup over the Nov. 5-6 weekend. The Lady Seahawks
were undefeated during the ECSA fall season, ECSA
fall tournament and this State Cup. Job well done.

to the U14 boys(coed) RSC Blitz for winning the
championship at the NCYSA Rec State Cup over the
Nov. 5-6 weekend in Shelby, NC. The Blitz were
undefeated in their 3 matches.

NOVEMBER 15, 2005
There will be an ECSA President's Meeting on
Tuesday, November 15 @ Hunter's Creek Middle School
@ 6:00pm. All clubs should have representation at
this meeting. The meeting from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm
will be for teams that each club has for indoor
soccer. There are several items that need to be
addressed and voted on. Please make sure that your
club is present at this meeting.

Tournament is scheduled for December 9-11 for Boys
& Girls U8-U18. Cost is $125 per team.

CANCELS EASTERN REGIONALS IN
JACKSONVILLE
NCYSA has elected to cancel the Eastern Regional
Rec tournament scheduled for Nov 5th and 6th here
in Jacksonville. There were only 18 teams signed up
for Jacksonville with no age bracket making up a
playable tournament bracket. There are 51 teams
signed up in Shelby.
All teams that did sign up for the Eastern
Regionals are being given an opportunity to play in
Shelby if they wish to go to that site on Nov 5th
and 6th. NCYSA will contact by e-mail each coach or
contact person to determine who wants to play in
Shelby.

JACKSONVILLE
TO HOST MAJOR REC
TOURNAMENT
JASA has been selected to host the 2005 Eastern NC
Recreation NCYSA Tournament. Piney Green has been
asked to assist in putting on this tournament. This
is the largest Recreation Tournament in North
Carolina, with two play-in tournaments to be held
November 5th and 6th. The eastern site being
Jacksonville and the western site being Shelby. The
finials will be the following weekend in
Greensboro. While this is not an official ECSA
sponsored tournament this is a major tournament
that is going to be played here in Jacksonville and
is especially important to the kids involved in our
rec programs. The eastern regionals will include
all ages playing here.
All ECSA clubs should be aware of this opportunity
for their Rec players to play in a quality
tournament that ultimately recognizes the top Rec
teams in the state. Registration forms are
available on the NCYSA web site HERE
and registration DEADLINE is October 7th. Hurry!!!

Camp on June 6-9 @ Woodland Park Fields from

Classic/Challenge players. Scott Schweitzer, who is

CHALLENGE CUP PRELIMS RETURN TO
ECSA
ECSA will host the NCYSA Challenge Cup
Preliminaries for the U12 Boys, U12 Girls, U14 Boys
& U14 Girls on May 14-15 2005. All games will
be played at Hunters Creek & Woodlands Park
fields. Over 64 teams are expected to participate
in these age groups. Play sites for other age
groups can be found at NCYSA.
Please note the application entry deadline is March

SOCCER NATIONAL CHALLENGE • MARCH
18-20
Some of the best young soccer talent in the country
will be showcased at the UNCW Soccer Stadium on
March 18-20 when UNC Wilmington plays host to the
United States Under-17 Boy's National Team in a
series of three matches with North Carolina schools
in the U.S. National Soccer Challenge.
The national team will play Davidson on Friday,
March 18, at 7 p.m. Seahawks on Saturday, March 19,
at 7 p.m. Wake Forest will battle the club on
Sunday, March 20, at 2 p.m. to wrap up the
weekend.

HAMMERHEADS VS MOC TROJANS
OCSA
is proud to announce the Wilmington Hammerheads
Professional Soccer Team will be playing an
exhibition soccer game against the Mount Olive
College Trojans. The exhibition game will be played
at Jacksonville High School Stadium on March 15 and
the game time will be 7:00pm.
