season Fall ECSA tournament. This division was
combined due to lack of U10 boys teams. The

each age group play within their own age group.

• UPDATE
ECSA schedules will be available to the club
commissioners Sept. 6th. The schedules will be
proof read and approved by the club commissioners.
The delay in ECSA schedules is due to NCYSA just
finalizing the Classic schedules. ECSA cannot
finalize any schedules until we have the Classic
schedules from NCYSA becauses Recreational,
Challenge and Classic teams play on the same
fields. We understand that it is an inconvenience
to everyone but we are trying to get the schedules
out as quickly as we can. Handwritten copies will
be available tonight Sept. 6th. Please contact your
local club commissioner to get your schedule.

Congratulations to Jerry Healy and Mary Finley for
being re-elected and Chuck Henry for being elected
to serve as officers on the ECSA Executive Board.
Jerry Healy was re-elected to the position of
Vice-President Challenge, Mary Finley was
re-elected to the position of Secretary and Chuck
Henry was elected to the position of President.
Special thanks to Darin Carroll, former President
of ECSA, for all his hard work and dedication to
the growth of soccer in the local and surrounding

OUR THOUGHTS AND
PRAYERS...
 On
April 18, the soccer community lost one of North
Carolina's best youth soccer players, Matt Helms,
in a tragic bus accident while traveling with the
'90 ODP team in Paris, France. Matt was a
goalkeeper with OCSA Coastal Crew, the ODP team,
and the Wilmington Hammerheads Super-Y team.
Several others on the bus were seriously injured
and we wish them a speedy recovery. Our heartfelt
thoughts and prayers go out to all the players,
families, coaches, friends and teammates in this
time of loss and sorrow.
