ECSA SPRING SCHEDULES NOTICE !!!
ECSA Spring shedules will be ready for club reprentatives pick-up on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at HCMS from 6pm-7pm. NOTE: Schedules being ready for pick-up by this date is contingent on NCYSA getting the classic schedules to ECSA in a timely manner. Any changes in this date will be posted on the website.    (December 12, 2003)

COMMISSIONERS MEETING - January 21
There will be a commissioner's meeting Wednesday, Jan. 21st @ 7:30pm at HCMS. Recreational teams will need to be turned in at this meeting. Each club needs to bring a list of their recreational teams that will be playing in the ECSA Spring season. All we will need is the team names and age groups. No rosters need to be turned in at this meeting....    (December 12, 2003)

COMMISSIONERS MEETING - February 3
There will be a commissioner's meeting Tuesday, Feb. 3rd @ 7:30pm at HCMS. Each club representative needs to bring 2 red stamped rosters per team and ECSA field fees. ECSA Spring season schedules will be handed out for each club to proof read, make any changes and vote on approval. NOTE: Schedules being completed by this date is contingent on NCYSA getting the classic schedules to ECSA in a timely manner. ECSA SPRING SEASON BEGINS February 21
ECSA Spring season will start February 21, 2004 for Recreational and Challenge soccer. Sign-Up with your local clubs. We look forward to a great Spring season with lots of fun!!!

All Challenge teams must be turned into Colon Ballance by Jan. 9th. The name of the team and age group is all that needs to be turned in by this date. Each club needs to fax their teams into Colon @ 577-8526. CHALLENGE TEAMS ONLY!!!    (December 12, 2003)

INDOOR INFORMATION !!!
Indoor schedules for December and January are ready for pick-up. All club representatives can pick up indoor schedules for their clubs @ HCMS on Wednesday Nov. 26th between 10am-4pm in Colon's room. NCYSA REC COUNCIL MEETING - NOV 23
NCYSA will be holding a Rec Council meeting this Sunday, Nov. 23 @ 11:00am at HCMS. "D" and "E" LICENSE COACHING CLINICS SCHEDULED
New Bern will be hosting a "D" License Coaching Clinic in Dec/Jan and Wilmington will be hosting a "D" License Coaching Clinic in February. Also, Wilmington will be hosting a "E" License Clinic on Jan 31/Feb 1st. Additional info available in our COACH INFO area. (November 19, 2003)

NOTICE: The "D" course that was scheduled for the next two weekends in Jacksonville has been CANCELLED, because we did not meet the minimum requirement of candidates to conduct the course. I will be sending reimbursement checks by next week to those of you who had paid for the course in advance. I apologize for the cancellation but hopefully you will be able to attend a course in the near future. ECSA INDOOR SOCCER MEETING
There will be an indoor meeting on November 18 @ 7:00 at HCMS. Each club representatives must bring each team's red stamped roster and fees. All rosters must be red stamped by the club registrar. No exceptions!!! (November 3, 2003)

U17 CHALLENGE GIRLS TOURNAMENT LOCATION CHANGE
The U17 Challenge Girls tournament location has been moved back to JASA #4 from the previous change of Jacksonville High School. Again, JASA #4 is the location for this weekend's U17 Challenge Girls tournament matches. Thanks. (October 24, 2003)

TOURNAMENT UPDATE !!! PLEASE READ
Tournament Update: U10 Challenge Girls, U12 Challenge Boys, U10 Rec Girls, and U14 Rec Girls will not play their tournament games this upcoming weekend due to the number of available referees. NCYSA has the State Cup this weekend and has taken several of our referees. The referees have no choice but to go at NCYSA request. These games will be played Nov. 1 and Nov. 2. Driving directions: Coming from Jacksonville, take 24 all the way to Morehead City. When you get to highway 70 and 24 intersection, go straight across hwy 70. The road is now called Bridges Street Extension. You will stay straight on it. You will eventually see Carteret General Hospital on your right. Keep going straight through that intersection (which also has a post office on left). Make a left at the next traffic light (about half mile past hospital) onto Barbour Road. Morehead City Middle School is on the right about half mile. Take first right into school and go behind school. (October 2, 2003)

HURRICANE WEATHER UPDATE - ISABEL
All ECSA games this weekend are to be played as scheduled at this time.  Unless you here otherwise, we are going to play this weekend. NO games have been cancelled as of Sept. 17th @ 7:00 PM. We will evaluate the situation on Friday morning and make a decision on Saturday and Sunday games depending on the amount of rain and damage we get here in Onslow County. SCRIMMAGE DAY - AUGUST 23

OCSA 3v3 LABOR DAY CLASH
There will be a 3v3 Labor Day weekend tournament on August 30-31 @ Hunter's Creek Middle School. Age groups will be U8 - Adults. Players will play in the age group they are registered in for the Fall 2003 season. Entry fee per team will be $100.00. CONGRATULATION TO THE NEW OFFICERS OF ECSA
Congratulations to the new officers of ECSA: President Darin Carroll and Vice President Debbie Marshburn. All other officers of ECSA retained their positions.
Special thanks to Danny Sharpe, former President of ECSA, for all his hard work and dedication to the growth and development of ECSA over the years. During his tenure as President of ECSA, we have experienced great growth and success which was possible because of his vision and ability to lead this organization in the right direction. REFEREE CERTIFICATION & RE-CERTIFICATION CLINICS - JULY
There will be a Referee Certification clinic on July 11, 12, 13, 2003 and a Re-Certification clinic on July 13, 2003. Additional details available in the REFEREE AREA (June 3, 2003)

REGISTRAR CLINIC - JUNE 14
PGSC will host a Registrar Clinic at Hunters Creek Middle School beginning at 10:00 AM on 14 June. All new registrars need to attend the full two hour course; veteran registrars (at least two consecutive years as a registrar) are encouraged to attend both hours but are only required to attend the 2nd hour (11:00 AM). Please bring your Registrar Workbook with you!. (June 3, 2003)

There will be a President's meeting on June 10th at HCMS @ 7:00pm. All Presidents need to be present at this meeting. We have several issues that need to be looked at and discussed. (June 2, 2003)

There will be a General Meeting on June 14th at HCMS @ 2:30pm. We will be conducting election of officers for the upcoming year. Each club needs to be represented at this meeting. CHALLENGE CUP MEETING - APRIL 29th
The final meeting for the Challenge Cup Prelims will be held at Hunters Creek Middle School (use rear parking lot, enter through double doors) at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 29. If host clubs have Field Marshalls assigned already (one at each field for every match), I'll need that list. Job assignments will be taken care of at this meeting. Please check your calendars so you'll know what hours you can donate your services if you cannot be there the whiole day. Also, if you are free after work the week of May 5-9, please come out and help get the fields in shape. If you know of any other volunteers, bring them with you!. TOURNAMENT BRACKETS UPDATED FOR FINAL WEEKEND
All tournament brackets have been updated for the April 26-27 final weekend. This includes the rain-outs from the first weekend. NCYSA 2003 CHALLENGE STATE CUP INFORMATION
ATTENTION CHALLENGE TEAMS! Information on the 2003 Challenge Cup is now posted on NCYSA website (www.ncsoccer.org). Preliminaries are May 10-11 and Finals are May 17-18, 2003. Info, where, when, how, application, fees, hotels (if necessary), freeze dates, T-Shirts, rules, and deadlines are all available at NCYSA. HELP WANTED.... NEEDED !!! WITH CHALLENGE CUP PRELIMS
ECSA will cohost the Challenge Cup Preliminary Rounds this year over the May 10-11 weekend. The age groups assigned to ECSA are U10B, U12G, U15B, U16B, U17B with teams from all over North Carolina coming to play on PGSC, JASA and SWSC fields. There is much to be done to prepare and conduct this tournament. Anyone that desires to help/volunteer PLEASE contact the Tournament Coordinator - Jerry Healy, ECSA VP-Challenge at shealy@ec.rr.com -OR- 910-455-9551. Much help is needed from manning registration tables, running concessions, field marshalls, risk management - the list goes on. ECSA TO HOST NCYSA CHALLENGE CUP PRELIMINARIES !!!
ECSA has been selected to host the Spring 2003 Challenge Cup Preliminaries which will take place May 10 and 11. Although the team age catagories we will host have yet to be assigned, it is NOW time to gather our volunteer base and begin preparations. We will require liaisons with community businesses, registration table workers, site coordinators, field marshalls (at each field), concession workers - the list goes on. There will be a meeting of ALL club Challenge reps at the end of January or early February - Anyone wishing to volunteer, please contact Jerry Healy, ECSA VP-Challenge at shealy@ec.rr.com (January 14, 2003)
UPDATE: The age groups currently assigned to ECSA are U-10B, U-12G, U-15B, U-16B, U-17B. There are currently 68 teams coming to ECSA to participate thus far. The postage deadline for teams desiring to participate in the Challenge Cup is March 14, 2003. (January 28, 2003)

Commissioners--Presidents--ECSA Board of Directors - Meetings on Jan. 30 @ Hunter's Creek Middle School. Commissioners and Presidents meetings @ 7:00pm and the ECSA Board of Directors meeting will immediately follow.
